It's all about location as well as extermination. Your average tourist may seek destinations on foreign shores that ensure cheap booze and a tan, but the Daleks like nothing more than plotting world domination by setting up camp alongside familiar landmarks. As they hit Manhattan this weekend, Cult Spy takes a look at some of the wondrous locations they've visited on our little planet...Let's start off by looking at their Stateside sojourns, starting with the Cult of Skaro's customs-defying temporal shift to 1930's New York. Dalek Sec's in the city and boy does he have some plans. Old Central Park becoming PCD

GAINESVILLE - Developer Brian Rochester Monday night asked for and got some flexibility in his plan to change old Central Park into a gateway commercial/light industry complex fronting I-985 near Calvary Church Road.

Rochester told Hall County Planning Commissioners his Planned Commercial Development was in the very early stages but includes a hotel, restaurant and bank with two seven story office buildings near the Exit 20 interchange.

"This is really a catalyst, we believe this development will change the entire area," Rochester said. "We believe this will .


NYC beefs up safety rules for suspended scaffold workers

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg signed a package of bills today, as a result of recommendations made by the Suspended Scaffold Worker Safety Task Force.

They include: requiring that all suspended scaffolds be inspected daily and that a record of the inspection at the job site be made available to Buildings Department personnel; requiring any person using or installing a suspended scaffold hung from a C-hook or outrigger beam to notify the Department of Buildings at least 24 but no more than 48 hours prior to the start of their use or installation; and the final one, will set an increased penalty schedule for non-compliance with the regulations governing licensed riggers and others who supervise suspended scaffolds.
